In the course of 15th and 16th century his presence left a long story of a significant influence in the most valuable fields of every society, education and religion.

He had a strategy  to assemble funds and attract to Cambridge leading scholars from Europe, promoting the study not only of Classical Latin and Greek authors, but of Hebrew. He placed great weight upon pastoral commitment. Fisher's foundations were also dedicated to prayer for the dead, especially through chantry foundations. He dedicated all his personal resources and energies to the vision of his own. A scholar and a priest, humble and conscientious, he managed despite occasional opposition to administer a whole university, one of only two in England. He conceived and saw through long-term projects.

Courageous and righteous he did not fear the royal anger,  disparaged Parliament, a true hero of his time..
